Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers in a lively beer orientated bar environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, knowledge of the industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

Serve drinks and food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
Take orders accurately and efficiently using the bar POS system
Ensure all beverages are prepared according to standard recipes and safety guidelines
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to alcohol licensing laws
Handle cash and card transactions accurately, providing correct change when necessary
Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and creating a welcoming environment

Skills

Proven experience in hospitality or serving roles is preferred; additional training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers of diverse backgrounds
Good organisational skills with an aptitude for multitasking in a fast-paced setting
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as required
A friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards customer care
