Full job description

We’re River Coffee Roasters - a passionate team dedicated to sourcing and roasting exceptional specialty coffee. Based in Alresford, Hampshire, we supply some of the UK’s best independent cafés, restaurants, and retailers with freshly roasted, traceable coffee.

Until now, we've grown organically, through word of mouth and recommendation. We've let our coffee speak for itself by putting quality first; from sourcing to roasting, all the way through to hands on on-site support. This has led us to a new exciting chapter. We have the product, a clear mission and recently scaled production facility which is going to allow us to grow demand like never before. This is where you come in. We're looking for a new Wholesale Account Executive to introduce River Coffee to more coffee-forward businesses across the UK whilst maintaining and developing strong relationships with our existing wholesale customers.

What the Role Involves:
You'll be working closely with our CEO to support and grow our wholesale customer base. This is a varied role with plenty of scope for development in both sales and account management. Key responsibilities include:

Building and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing wholesale clients
Responding to enquiries and managing incoming leads
Seeking new business opportunities through visiting prospective customers and conducting on-site tastings and meetings
Supporting account setup and onboarding, including assisting with equipment installation, set up and training on equipment and coffee making
Delivering regular barista training sessions with wholesale partners on-site or in our training centre
Working with the team to develop and execute sales strategies
Representing River at industry events, cuppings, and tastings
Collaborating with our production and roasting teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:

Have at least 2 years experience in wholesale business to business customer/account management (in coffee but if not in food & drink) with a proven sales record
Experience making espresso based coffee (including latte art) to a good standard
Confident at delivering barista training sessions to groups
Are a great communicator (in person, email and telephone) and natural relationship builder
Are well organised, proactive, and enjoy working as part of a small, close-knit team
Have a genuine passion for specialty coffee
Hold a full UK driving licence

What We Offer:

Competitive salary (based on experience) £27,000 - £30,000
Commission structure
Company pension, 21 days (plus bank holidays) annual leave with an extra day annual leave every year of employment (up to 5 years)
