Retail Sales Assistant – £13.71 per Hour + Commission

Are you looking for a fresh start and an opportunity to develop a career in retail and sales?

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic, confident and customer-focused individuals to join our growing team as Retail Sales Assistants. Previous experience is not essential as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

About the Role

As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will play an important part in delivering an excellent customer experience while representing the company and its clients professionally.

You will engage with customers face-to-face, understand their individual needs, provide clear information about products and services, and help customers make informed purchasing decisions.

The role combines customer service, sales and brand representation, making it ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people and wants to develop their communication and sales skills.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Retail Sales Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming and engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Understanding customer needs through conversation and active listening.
Promoting relevant products and services to potential customers.
Providing customers with clear and accurate product information.
Building positive relationships with customers and creating a personalised experience.
Representing the company and its clients to a high professional standard.
Increasing customer awareness of different products, services and promotions.
Working towards individual and team sales targets.
Confidently closing sales while ensuring customers are comfortable with their decision.
Developing strong product knowledge so you can answer customer questions effectively.
Supporting colleagues and contributing towards team performance.
Attending regular meetings and training sessions to stay informed about products, clients and current promotions.
Maintaining excellent customer service standards throughout every interaction.

No Experience? No Problem

Previous retail or sales experience is not required.

Full training, coaching and mentoring will be provided to help you develop the knowledge and confidence required to succeed in the role.

Experience from other customer-facing environments is also highly transferable, including:

Pay and Commission

Alongside your guaranteed hourly rate, you will have the opportunity to earn additional commission based on your sales performance.

This gives you the security of an hourly wage while also providing additional earning potential for strong performance.

Working Hours

The business operates Monday to Saturday, with flexible working opportunities available.

Applicants should ideally be available for a minimum of 3 days per week, with some weekend availability.

Requirements

Successful applicants must:

Be aged 18 or over due to company insurance requirements.
Have the legal right to work in the UK or hold an appropriate working visa.
Be able to attend the workplace and relevant team meetings in person.
Be comfortable working in a customer-facing sales environment.
