Private Dental Clinic | Kidlington, Oxfordshire

Full-time / Part-time considered

We are looking for an exceptional, creative and outgoing person to join our team in a unique role combining patient experience, front-of-house reception and digital marketing.

This is not a traditional dental receptionist position.

We are a modern, fully private dental clinic in Kidlington, and we’re looking for someone who can help us create an outstanding experience for our patients — both inside the clinic and online.

You will spend part of your time working front of house, welcoming patients and helping the reception team, but you will also take responsibility for developing our social media presence, photography, video content and patient journey.

The role

Patient Experience & Reception

You will:

Welcome patients and help create a warm, professional and relaxed atmosphere
Answer telephone and online enquiries
Help manage appointments and patient communications
Follow up with prospective and existing patients
Help ensure patients feel looked after throughout their treatment journey
Identify ways we can continually improve our patient experience
Support the reception team with day-to-day front-of-house duties
Help maintain the high standards expected within a premium private healthcare environment

Social Media & Content

A significant part of this role will involve creating engaging content from within the clinic.

You will:

Help manage our Instagram, Facebook and other social channels
Regularly film short-form video content and Reels
Photograph the clinic, team, treatments and events
Film dentists and team members explaining treatments and answering common patient questions
Help patients share their experiences through video testimonials and reviews
Edit short-form videos ready for social media
Develop ideas for interesting and engaging content
Maintain a content calendar and ensure we post consistently
Work alongside our external marketing partners where required
Ensure everything we publish reflects the quality and personality of our clinic

You do not need to be a professional photographer or videographer, but you should have a natural eye for good content and be confident using a smartphone to create high-quality photographs and videos.

Patient Journey & Customer Experience

We want this person to become an advocate for the patient within our business.

You’ll help us look at the complete journey:

First enquiry → telephone conversation → first visit → consultation → treatment → aftercare → reviews and recommendations

We want you to notice the small things.

How are patients greeted?

Are our communications clear?

Are nervous patients being properly looked after?

Could we make an appointment feel more personal?

Are there opportunities to surprise and delight our patients?

Could we explain something better through video?

We want someone who is constantly thinking about how we can make the experience better.

Who we’re looking for

You are likely to be:

Naturally warm, confident and approachable
Very comfortable talking to new people
Creative and full of ideas
Highly organised
Comfortable with social media
Confident taking photographs and filming video
Comfortable approaching patients and team members about photographs, videos and testimonials
Someone with excellent attention to detail
A strong written communicator
Interested in marketing, branding and customer experience
Someone who takes pride in presenting things beautifully
Proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do

You should also be comfortable switching between very different tasks.

One moment you might be welcoming a nervous patient at reception; the next you could be filming a dentist explaining a treatment, editing a Reel or discussing how we could improve the experience for a new patient.

Do I need dental experience?

No.

Previous dental or healthcare experience would be helpful, but it is not essential.

We would be very interested in applicants with experience in areas such as:

Beauty or aesthetics

Private healthcare

We can teach the right person about dentistry and our systems.

What is much harder to teach is personality, creativity, initiative and a genuine desire to give people an exceptional experience.

We provide general and advanced dentistry, including dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and care for nervous and anxious patients.

We have invested heavily in technology and in creating a high-quality environment for our patients.

Initially, the position will combine reception, marketing and patient experience.

As the role develops, there is the opportunity to take greater ownership of our marketing, social media, content and overall patient journey.
