Justice Services in South Lanarkshire are committed to a public health approach to supporting people in conflict with the law.

Justice Social Work Services in South Lanarkshire are recruiting Placement Supervisors to join the Unpaid Work Service.

The Unpaid Work Service works alongside and monitors individuals who are subject to a court disposal of a Community Payback Order with an Unpaid Work or Other Activity Requirement.

The post is based at Auchentibber Resource Centre, Blantyre but the successful applicant will be required to travel, with their group of service users, to different locations throughout South Lanarkshire including Clydesdale.

The role of the Placement Supervisor is to oversee groups of service users, male and female, who are undertaking their unpaid work placement, in a variety of locations throughout South Lanarkshire. You will monitor and supervise their work, conduct and compliance.

The Placement Supervisor must be able to engage and motivate service users to undertake their Unpaid Work hours. You will supervise the completion of environmental projects such as path clearance, fencing, tree planting, painting, gardening all to benefit the community.

The ability to work outdoors is essential and basic manual and DIY skills and experience of operating basic gardening machinery would be desirable.

Previous experience of supervising adults is desirable however not essential as training will be given.

Successful applicants will work a 2-week shift pattern which includes working one of every two weekends. Weekly hours per week total 29.83 hours.
