Overview

Join our vibrant café team as a Cafe Staff Member and become the heart of a lively, welcoming environment!

This job role is NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS AND APPLICANTS MUST BE OVER 18yrs, EITHER 26 or 36hrs per weeks available!

In this role, you will deliver exceptional service by preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items, ensuring every guest feels valued and satisfied. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable experiences for our customers while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic setting where energy and positivity are celebrated.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately with enthusiasm and professionalism
Prepare a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards
Serve food items with promptness and courtesy, ensuring presentation meets quality expectations
Maintain food safety standards by adhering to proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
Manage cash register operations with basic math skills to handle transactions efficiently
Keep the work area clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift to ensure smooth operations
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
Manage time effectively to serve customers quickly during busy periods while maintaining quality service

Skills

Knowledge of food safety practices and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards
Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all new team members
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment with a friendly attitude
Ability to perform food preparation tasks accurately and efficiently
Strong basic math skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
Positive attitude with excellent communication skills to create welcoming interactions with guests
