Job Introduction

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £29,274.73 per annum

Location: Springwood, Telford, TF11 8GT

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Are you seeking a career as a Chef Manager that allows you the opportunity to show case your cooking skills and deliver excellent services to our customers? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Springwood is a ShireLiving service that offers people over the age of 55 a home for life where they can live independently with the additional reassurance that our team are on-site for 24 hours a day offering safety and security for all of our tenants.

Our catering teams support our tenants by delivering a breakfast and lunch service, where they are required to prepare and manage a team who serve nutritious and delicious meals that meets our customers varying needs.

Joining our team, a Chef Manager you will play a vital role in promoting and enabling inclusivity, individuality and independence through respectfully supporting our tenants who lead active lives exploring their interests.

We are looking for individuals who hold an NVQ Level 3 in Catering who demonstrate the behaviours that underpin our organisational values, to ensure that the services to our customers are excellent. As a Chef Manager, you will be required to display the following values and behaviours:

Live it – show understanding and compassion

Chef Managers must also demonstrate the following values and behaviours:

Caring - Placing individuals at the heart of the care, ensuring services are delivered with empathy, dignity, respect, inclusivity and integrity at all times
Compassion - Requires a level of consideration, patience, empathy and understanding towards others people’s situation and their needs
Communication - Always listen carefully, speak to people and act in a way that the person can understand
Courage - Not to be fearful of trying new things to improve the quality of care and raise any concerns proactively
Commitment - Provide a positive environment, with flexible and a proactive approach to our customer’s needs, helping to make each day special. Working collaboratively with colleagues and be accountable for providing services that make a positive difference to people’s lives.
