NIGHT SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT- Eligibility to work in the UK ***please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role***

Glenkindie Lodge is a 33-bed Residential Care Home in Desborough, Northamptonshire providing care for residents who are elderly, many with dementia. We are passionate and committed towards providing high-quality care in a ‘home-from-home’ environment.

About the role:

As a Night Senior Care Assistant, you will play important and integral roles within our care team, helping us deliver high standards of care to our deserving residents.

The Duties and responsibilities Senior Night Care Assistant include, but not limited to:

To be accountable for the home and the residents, and to create a calm and secure atmosphere throughout the night
To ensure regular checks are carried out throughout the night for each resident’s individual needs (in relation to the home’s guidelines and policies).
To administer medication if required.
Be aware of all emergency contact and home procedures in relation to health and safety.
To ensure that all night documentation is completed and signed for.
Be able to demonstrate knowledge of all records required to be kept by CQC.

Please Note: This is a waking duty. You are expected to perform care duties and assist with some cleaning duties.

About You

For the Night Senior Care Assistant role, 2 years work experience in Care Home is mandatory.
NVQ 3 (or equivalent) or above in Health and Social Care is mandatory and the willingness to progress.
Experience of medication administration.
Experience of person-centered care plans.
Flexibility to adapt to the needs of our residents.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Knowledge of CQC regulations.
Knowledge & understanding of dementia.
Experience and willingness to conduct training.
Flexible working is advantageous.
Undertake training courses is advantageous.
Team player, role model with compassion, enthusiasm, drive and confidence to make a collective improvement to the overall care and well-being of our residents.
