Join the Team at Overstone Park: Clubhouse Cook

Location: Overstone Park Golf and Leisure, Northampton

Position: Clubhouse Cook

Contract: Part-Time – includes weekends and bank holidays

The Role

At Overstone Park, the quality of our food is just as important as the quality of our greens. We are looking for a Clubhouse Cook who is a master of consistency and a champion of kitchen safety. This role focuses on delivering our core clubhouse menu—breakfast, lunch, and daily specials—to the highest standard while maintaining a clinical approach to hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

Menu Excellence: Assembling high-quality, cooked-to-order meals for members and visitors in our finishing kitchen with speed and precision.
Health & Safety Leadership: Taking full ownership of the kitchen’s safety protocols during your shift.
HACCP Management: Diligent recording of fridge/freezer temperatures, core food temperatures, and daily wastage logs.
Allergen Control: Strict adherence to allergen management processes to ensure the safety of every guest.
COSHH Compliance: Ensuring all cleaning chemicals are stored and used correctly according to safety data sheets.
Workplace Safety: Maintaining a clean-as-you-go policy to prevent slips, trips, and cross-contamination.

What We’re Looking For

Safety Conscious: You don't just "do" the paperwork; you understand why it’s vital for the business and the customer.
Experienced: Proven track record in a professional kitchen (pub, café, or golf club).
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HACCP, COSHH, and Food Safety Level 2 (Level 3 is a bonus).
Reliable: A punctual professional who takes pride in a well-organized, compliant kitchen.
