Full job description

Are you an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver looking for a stable, long-term opportunity? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and want to be part of a growing business?

At Hereford Contract Canning, one of the UK's fastest-growing contract canning businesses, we're looking for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials and finished products across our busy production site while contributing to our continued growth and success.

Rotating 2-Shift Pattern

Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00

Key Responsibilities

Operate a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently
Pick and pre-assemble customer orders
Load finished goods onto collection vehicles
Check loads before dispatch to ensure accuracy
Manage delivery and collection vehicles entering the yard
Pick raw materials to support production
Carry out stock counts and inventory checks
Use warehouse management systems and barcode scanners
Maintain on-site KANBAN systems
Follow all health, safety, quality, and food safety procedures

What we’re looking for

A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Previous forklift driving experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
A proactive, responsible approach to work
Good communication and teamwork skills
A flexible and positive attitude
