Role Overview

The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces.

To be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Hotel and House Receptions providing the highest level of service to guests at all times.

What we are looking for:

Passionate about providing our guests with the best service
Genuinely care about the guest experience
Empathetic and a caring, passionate personality
Understand that our service is second to none and therefore be able to demonstrate our core values: empathy, drive, collaboration, trust and passion.
Have experience of working in a 4 star hotel or similar
Have excellent spoken and written English.
Possess a confident telephone manner
Possess excellent numerical and written skills
Have knowledge and experience of working with computer systems and Microsoft Office programmes, including Word and Excel
A knowledge of Harrogate and the surrounding areas is beneficial, as you will deal with queries regarding local attractions and help guests with travel arrangements as necessary.
Offer a warm welcome at all times in a friendly and professional manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone manner.
Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment.
Good administrative skills and IT literacy.
Discreet, diplomatic, reliable and trustworthy.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome guests to the hotel and carry their luggage
Manage guest expectations and go the extra mile at all times
Provide support for all busy peak time
Champion Guest Gossip and ensure that all bits of information regarding a guest is placed on their profile
Arrange taxi, give directions, take messages
Ensure that all public areas are of the standard expected undertaking any housekeeping duties as required
Delivery newspapers to the lodges, hotel bedrooms
Escort lodge arrivals to the lodge and explain facilities
Show our guests to their bedrooms and explain points of interest and bedroom facilities
Be responsible for knowing what is going on the business day ensuring that you are aware of what guests are coming in, what events are taking place at Rudding Park
Ensure that guest requests are carried out at all times in a timely manor
On arrival on your shift, read the function sheets, fact sheet, memo file
