Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Doctors Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at Heald Green Health Centre. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations. This role requires a friendly demeanour, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to patient care.

Responsibilities

A key first point of contact for patients providing an essential service both face to face, over the telephone and online.
Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations using the practice management system
Answer incoming calls promptly, directing enquiries appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as required
It is expected that patients are welcomed, signposted appropriate and supported through their care journey.
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
Coordinate with other team members to facilitate smooth daily operations
Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with practice policies at all times.

Experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, preferably within a healthcare setting
Administrative experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail is highly desirable
Strong IT and keyboard skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations with discretion
Reliable, flexible, and committed to providing high standards of patient care.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, personable, and committed to delivering high standards of administrative support within a healthcare environment.

We are seeking a part-time Receptionist/Administrator to join our team. Working hours are to be confirmed but may include shifts starting at 8:00 am and/or finishing at 6:30 pm.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
