Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist/Administrator at Abercynon Medical Centre and become one of the friendly, organised team members of our practice! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your energetic approach will help coordinate appointments, manage administrative tasks efficiently, and support the overall operation of our medical facility. Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression
Schedule appointments accurately using our practice management software
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing information or directing calls as needed
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records
Verify insurance details and process billing information with precision
Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a professional environment

Skills

Previous office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills
Administrative experience in a healthcare or medical setting is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with patients and team members
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency with office equipment and basic computer applications such as MS Office or similar software
