Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of motor vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly and our customers satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on various vehicle systems using schematics and technical manuals.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, tyre changes, and fluid checks to keep vehicles in top condition.
Repair or replace faulty components, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension parts.
Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting, equipment repair, welding, and other physically demanding tasks.
Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations to ensure excellent customer service.
Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed on each vehicle.

Experience

Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician or similar role with a strong mechanical background.
Familiarity with reading schematics and technical diagrams for vehicle systems.
Hands-on experience with assembly, disassembly, and repair of automotive components using hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate welding equipment when necessary.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
MOT Tester status is an advantage but not essential.

Hours - Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
