Full job description

Ora Tapas and Wine on Great Victoria Street, has been on the go for 7 years now, continuing to offer elevated Tapas style dining and recommended in the Michelin guide now for 4 years running. We are a small but vibrant and buzzing venue, focused on delivery the best food and dining experience for every customer who walks through the door.

We are now recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our team and work with us to continue our success.

The successful candidate should be a skilled chef with a minimum 2 years senior experience within a similar high end and fast paced kitchen. Knowledge of international flavours and a passion for cooking are key to the role, and an understanding of tapas style dining.

Your role

- support the head chef in the daily running of the kitchen

- Share your skills with training and mentoring of more junior chefs.

- Create and contribute to development of new dishes.

-Maintain and oversee the maintenance of high levels of food quality and hygiene standards in the kitchen

- Ordering, inventory and managing stock levels.

- Working as part of the team, and leading by example to motivate and support your colleagues.

- Running the kitchen and leading the team in the absence of the head chef.

We offer a competitive salary (pro rata) and package, with equal tip allocation based on hours worked, which could boost your pay by up to £5K per year. All over time is paid in full and a bonus system for excellence in performance for senior staff.
