Warehouse Operator

Here at Heathrow, we have a team of around 400 colleagues. We produce gluten free sandwiches and ready to eat or reheat sandwiches, wraps and other bread-based products, salads and ready meals for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Asda, Aldi, Co-op, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose.

What you'll be doing

As a Warehouse Operator:

Update and maintain technical administration systems that improve accuracy of planning and reporting
Process customer orders, contacting customers/suppliers where necessary to clarify requirements, to ensure that accurate data has been included for planning and forecasting
Liaise with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on track for scheduled delivery dates and quantities
Prepare, maintain and publish up-to-date logistics schedules to inform all relevant parties
Validate and ‘sign off’ received invoices to aid budget management
Collect and collate relevant data and format concisely and appropriately to make it presentable to the customer and suppliers
Collate, complete and file delivery paperwork and invoices to create an accurate audit trail

What we’re looking for

Full training will be provided if successful in this role but are looking for the following knowledge and experience:

Ideally experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar environment
Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
Ability to work in a fast past, chilled environment
Problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Right first-time approach
Able to manage the team and follow management instructions and procedures
Good communicator and ability to work in a team
Basic Awareness of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene
