Murphy & Son is a leading supplier to the brewing, beverage and food industries. We are looking for an organised and proactive Transport Administrator to join our busy Logistics team in Chilwell.

Please note: This position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months to provide maternity cover.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to gain valuable experience within a well-established business.

The Role

As Transport Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day transport operation, ensuring deliveries are planned efficiently, documentation is accurate, and customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinating and scheduling customer deliveries
Liaising with drivers, warehouse teams and third-party hauliers
Preparing transport documentation and delivery paperwork
Tracking deliveries and providing updates to customers and internal teams
Maintaining accurate transport and driver records
Monitoring proof of delivery (POD) documentation
Assisting with vehicle maintenance scheduling and compliance records
Producing operational reports and supporting transport planning activities
Supporting compliance with transport regulations and company procedures

What We're Looking For

Essential:

Previous experience in an administrative, logistics or transport role
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn

Desirable:

Experience within a transport or logistics environment
Knowledge of driver hours, tachograph regulations or fleet administration
Experience using ERP, warehouse or transport management systems
