Full job description

We are seeking a motivated, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team.

The role is for a full time Pharmacy Assistant to work in our busy pharmacy in Acton Town. This is a permanent position and we are seeking candidates looking for a long term position and a career with the company.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a busy retail pharmacy, a methodical and accurate approach to practical tasks and a passion for customer care and service.

Candidates who have completed a Dispensing Assistants Course and/or Medicines Counter Assistant course are preferred. However, consideration will be given to less experienced candidates and any successful candidate will supported with full training.

Essential requirements:

- Fluent spoken and written English

- Able to promote pharmacy services

- Reliable and punctual

- Able to work under pressure and as a part of a team

- Motivated and hard working

- Understanding of confidential issues

Duties include:

- Working on the counter giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers and ensuring the pharmacy is well stocked, clean and tidy

- Handing out prescriptions and promoting the pharmacies services to customers

- Dispensing prescriptions, preparation and labelling of medicines

- Dispensing and making up blister packs and help manage them

- Stock control and management - ordering via a number of wholesalers, receiving and checking deliveries, reporting any discrepancies

- Cash handling and till operation

- Managing travel vaccination bookings and paperwork
