Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Day Time Care Assistant to join our friendly care team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being during daytime hours. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will help create a warm environment where residents or clients feel valued and respected. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, promoting independence and dignity
Support the implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences
Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and update care plans regularly
Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Assist with light housekeeping duties to keep the living environment clean, safe, and welcoming
Support transportation needs by driving residents or clients to appointments or outings when required (optional)

Skills

Valid driving license with the ability to drive safely and confidently (optional)
Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is highly desirable
Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and team members
Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and updating care documentation
Compassionate nature with outstanding interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships
Ability to work as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence
