CDOP Coordinator – Northern Lincolnshire Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP)

This is more than an administrative or coordination role. As the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) Coordinator, you will play a vital part in a statutory multi-agency process that seeks to understand why children die, identify learning, and help prevent future deaths.

Working with partners across health, police, education and social care, you will support sensitive and meaningful reviews that place bereaved families at the heart of learning and improvement. As part of a small, supportive and dedicated team, you will help ensure reviews are managed professionally, compassionately and to the highest standards.

We are looking for an organised, detail-focused and compassionate individual who can manage sensitive information with care, build positive relationships across agencies, and contribute to work that makes a genuine difference to children, families and communities across Northern Lincolnshire. What is the role all about?

As the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP) Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in the Northern Lincolnshire Child Death Review process, working across both North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire local authority areas.

Reporting directly to the CDOP Manager and supported by an experienced CDOP Administrator, you will join a small, dedicated and highly supportive team committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate and learning-focused practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating the Child Death Review process in line with national statutory guidance.

Working closely with health, police, education, social care and other partner agencies.

Ensuring the timely collection, analysis and presentation of information.

Supporting the planning and administration of Child Death Review Meetings and CDOP Panel meetings.

Contributing to thematic analysis, learning reports and prevention initiatives.

Maintaining accurate, confidential records with professionalism, sensitivity and attention to detail.

Supporting the identification and dissemination of learning to improve services and outcomes for children and families.

Makes a genuine difference to the lives of children, young people and families.
