Customer Service & Sales Administrator

Location: Knowledge Gateway, Colchester, Essex CO4 3ZQ
Pay: £14.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 20–40 hours per week
Job type: Full-time or part-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Start date: Immediate start available

Established in 2010, CupsDirect is a trusted supplier of food and beverage packaging to businesses, hospitality operators and event organisers across the UK.

We are a growing, established company with a strong focus on reliable service, quality products and long-term customer relationships. We also operate our own packaging brand, Taaste.

We are now looking for a Customer Service & Sales Administrator to join our Colchester-based team.

We are open to both full-time and part-time applicants. Part-time working patterns can be discussed, although availability during normal Monday-to-Friday office hours is required.

The Role

You will be one of the main points of contact for our customers, providing friendly, professional and efficient support by telephone, email, live chat and WhatsApp.

The role combines customer service, sales support and order administration. You will help customers select suitable products, prepare quotations, process orders and resolve delivery or account queries.

You will also work closely with our warehouse, fulfilment and sales teams to ensure orders are accurate, processed correctly and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional customer support by telephone, email, live chat and WhatsApp.
Respond to product, order, delivery and account enquiries.
Process customer orders, quotations and secure payments.
Recommend suitable products and check product compatibility.
Create and amend orders within Shopify and other internal systems.
Resolve complaints, returns and delivery issues promptly and professionally.
Liaise with couriers regarding delays, failed deliveries, damaged parcels and lost consignments.
Check and validate orders before they are released for fulfilment.
Verify delivery addresses, order details and payment information.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and order activity.
Work closely with the warehouse and fulfilment teams.
Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership of the customer experience.
Provide general sales and administrative support to the wider team.
Represent the CupsDirect and Taaste brands positively in every interaction.

Systems Used

Experience with the following systems would be useful, although full training will be provided:

Shopify
Gorgias
Cin7
Microsoft Office
Email, live chat and order-management platforms

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience in customer service, sales administration, ecommerce administration or a similar role.
Confident and professional telephone manner.
Strong written communication skills.
Good attention to detail.
Comfortable working across several systems and handling multiple customer enquiries.
Organised, dependable and able to prioritise effectively.
A proactive approach to solving customer and delivery issues.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a busy, office-based environment.
A full UK driving licence would be beneficial due to the office location, but is not essential.

Experience within ecommerce, wholesale, packaging, logistics or order fulfilment would be beneficial, but is not essential.
