Full job description

EasyGates Ltd is a specialist gate automation and smart home automation company delivering innovative security, access control, and intelligent home technology solutions. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality customer service and cutting-edge technology solutions.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Sales Administrator to join our team and develop practical skills in sales administration and customer service. You will work closely with our Sales and Technical teams, supporting the day-to-day running of the department while delivering exceptional customer service, reporting directly to the Internal Sales Manager.

The successful candidate must be an organised, well-mannered, and presentable individual who can confidently handle day to day sales calls, order processing, and general email enquiries.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to;

Processing sales orders, quotations and proformas using sage 200.
Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and assist customers with enquiries and sales orders.
Assist customers by recommending suitable products where appropriate.
Process purchase orders received through the company's generic orders email inbox.
Respond promptly to customer email enquiries.
Provide sales support through our online chat service.
Provide sales support at the showroom counter when required.
Keep customers updated regarding product availability and delivery times.
Ensure all administration is completed accurately and efficiently.
Provide a consistently high standard of customer service.
Follow up outstanding quotations and pro-forma invoices to help maximise sales opportunities.
Generate additional business through proactive telephone contact with customers.
Support the Sales Team with day-to-day administrative duties.
Request products to be ordered when required.
Liaise with Stock Manager regarding stock availability.
Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability and order updates.
Share key information using the company's internal communication channels.
Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

Skills & Qualities Required:

Essential:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Well-spoken with excellent communication skills.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good problem-solving skills.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable:

Previous administration or customer service experience.
Basic knowledge of Sage 200 (training will be provided).
An interest in technology or smart home products.

Working Hours & Conditions:

Salary at National Minimum/Living Wage dependant on age
Monday to Friday
Provisionally 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (with 30-minute unpaid lunch break). To be confirmed at job offer stage.
Office-based

Duties of this role will be reviewed on a regular basis.
