Instead, you'll become the trusted point of contact for our clients, helping them navigate accounting, tax and business matters while delivering a premium client experience.

About the Role

Internally known as our Client Communications Accountant, this role is central to the way our practice operates.

You'll become the primary owner of client communication, ensuring every interaction with Whittaker, Gregory & Co is professional, proactive and technically accurate.

You'll manage our hello@ inbox, support the Director by managing client correspondence, answer technical accounting and taxation queries, liaise with HMRC and work closely with our production team to keep clients informed throughout every stage of their journey with us.

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, thinking independently and becoming the trusted person clients know by name.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing the firm's hello@ inbox.
Supporting the Director by managing and responding to client emails.
Answering incoming telephone calls and providing knowledgeable, professional advice.
Responding to client accounting and taxation queries.
Liaising directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
Processing professional clearance requests.
Writing Social Media and Blog Posts.
Building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Working closely with our Accounts & Tax Managers and Practice Operations Executive.
Taking ownership of client enquiries from start to finish.
Ensuring every client interaction reflects the premium standards of Whittaker, Gregory & Co.

About You

We're looking for someone who naturally takes ownership.

You'll enjoy helping people, communicating with clients and solving problems.

You're the sort of person who remembers your clients, understands their circumstances and builds trust through knowledge, professionalism and consistency.

You won't simply answer questions.

You'll investigate, think, explain and provide solutions.

You may be AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified through significant accountancy practice experience.

Most importantly, you'll genuinely care about delivering an outstanding client experience.

Have a good understanding of UK accounts and taxation.
