Full job description

Job Overview
We are looking for a new member to come and join The Thomas Daniell team.

Duties

Taking orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring guests' needs are met promptly
Serving food and beverages in a professional manner
Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with licensing laws and company standards
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar and dining areas
Checking identification to verify legal drinking age
Handling cash, card payments, and operating POS systems securely
Assisting with setting up tables, organising reservations, and managing guest seating arrangements
Providing recommendations on menu items and daily specials to enhance guest experience
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Collaborating with team members to deliver seamless service during busy periods

Requirements

Previous experience as a server or bartender is desirable but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
Knowledge of licensing laws related to alcohol service is advantageous
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
A positive attitude, reliability, and strong organisational skills
Ability to work well within a team environment
