Job Role: Senior Business Development Manager (IT Managed Services)

Location: Hybrid (Sevenoaks-based office with client travel as required)

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 basic (depending on experience)

Commission: Competitive package rewarding new business revenue growth (uncapped)

We're looking for an ambitious Senior Business Development Manager who has proven experience selling Managed IT Services and enjoys building long-term client relationships. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional who wants to play a key role in our continued growth and success.

The Role

As our Senior Business Development Manager, you'll own the full sales lifecycle, from identifying and qualifying new business opportunities through to proposal, negotiation and contract signature. Working alongside our Technical Consultants, you'll develop tailored managed IT solutions/services that address customer challenges and build long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting and outbound sales activity
Report directly to the Managing Director and play an active role in shaping the company's sales strategy
Qualify opportunities and understand customers' business and technology requirements
Present managed IT solutions to business owners and decision-makers
Prepare and deliver proposals and quotations
Negotiate contracts and successfully close new business
Work alongside technical consultants to design appropriate solutions
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records
Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions and customer meetings

What We're Looking For:

Essential

Minimum five years' experience selling Managed IT Services within an MSP environment
Experience responding to tenders or public sector opportunities
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Strong understanding of managed services and recurring revenue models
Experience selling Microsoft 365, Azure, Cyber Security, Backup, Cloud or IT Support services
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and commercially driven
Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills and Experience

A track record of selling Managed IT Services, Microsoft 365, Azure, Cyber Security or Cloud solutions
Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or HubSpot
Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, Microsoft Modern Workplace, Azure and cloud infrastructure
Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling
Experience responding to RFPs, ITT submissions and customer proposals
Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, SPIN Selling or Challenger Sales
Relevant industry certifications or accreditations (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL or Cisco) are advantageous but not essential
