Full job description

Sage Payroll 50 Administrator

(Monday to Thursday – 32 hours per week)

The Company:

Due to continuing growth, a leading animal rendering business is looking for an enthusiastic, and experienced Part-Time Payroll Administrator. There are 170 employees across three group payrolls.

We are seeking a Part-Time Sage Payroll 50 Administrator to join our team. The role is vital in ensuring accurate payroll processing and supporting our human resource function.

Duties:

Manage and process payroll using Sage Payroll 50 software to ensure timely and accurate wage and salary payments with three weekly payrolls and a small monthly payroll
Complete HMRC submissions including FPS and EPS
Maintain employee records and update data as required
Collate and reconcile timesheets and hours worked from the clock system
Support data entry tasks related to payroll and human resources documentation
Assist in the analysis of payroll data for reporting purposes
Provide support for HR related administrative tasks
Manage auto-enrolment to workplace pensions
Produce payroll reports, P60s and P45s

Qualifications:

Proven experience with Sage Payroll 50 or similar payroll software
Strong understanding of human resources processes and systems
Excellent data entry and analysis skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Effective communication skills
Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity
Experience of Microsoft packages particularly Excel, Word and Outlook essential
Ad-hoc administrative duties as and when necessary

A good awareness of deadlines and a calm manner are essential

Benefits:

29 days holiday including bank holidays (Pro-rata)

Basic hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm with including half an hour for lunch but there may be flexibility on start and finish times

Starting salary dependent on experience in the region £28k to £30k (Pro-rata)

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
