Full job description

Job description:

Duties

- Prepare and bake a variety of cakes, bakes and cafe style goods according to recipes and standards
- Measure and mix ingredients, such as flour, sugar, and butter, to create doughs and batters
- Decorate cakes using icing, glazes, buttercreams and ganaches.
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust cooking times as needed

- Cake decorating skills necessary
- Ensure that all cakes are beautifully presented.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation procedures.

Experience

- Previous experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role required.
- Knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production processes
- Familiarity with culinary terminology and measurements
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in presentation
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
