We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Business Support Officer to join our Family Help and Family Help Safeguarding teams in Chester. This key role will lead the delivery of high-quality business support, performance reporting, financial administration, and workforce processes, ensuring services operate efficiently and effectively to support positive outcomes for children and families.

We are seeking a highly organised, motivated and proactive Senior Business Support Officer to join our Family Help and Family Help Safeguarding teams within the Chester Locality. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-quality services by providing leadership, specialist business support expertise and effective operational coordination to frontline teams and managers.

As a Senior Business Support Officer, you will lead and support a team of Business Support Officers, ensuring the delivery of efficient, effective and customer-focused administrative services. You will be instrumental in driving improvements, maintaining performance standards, supporting financial processes and providing the management information needed to inform decision-making and service development.

Working within a fast-paced and rewarding environment, you will build strong relationships with managers, practitioners and partner agencies, ensuring that business support functions contribute positively to outcomes for children, young people and their families. You will have responsibility for overseeing financial and administrative systems, monitoring performance information, supporting workforce processes and helping to develop innovative ways of working that ensure services remain responsive and efficient.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has significant experience of working within a busy administrative or business support environment.
Has experience of supervising, motivating and supporting staff to achieve high standards.
Possesses excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Can confidently analyse data and produce meaningful management information and reports.
Has strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Is able to work collaboratively with managers, colleagues and partner organisations.
Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Understands the importance of confidentiality, data protection and effective information management.
Has a passion for delivering excellent customer service and supporting positive outcomes for children and families.
