Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Assistant and play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting operations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are detail-oriented, and eager to develop your accounting skills, this role is perfect for you! You will be instrumental in managing data entry, processing accounts payable, and ensuring smooth financial transactions across various platforms.

Responsibilities:

Accounts payable – be the point of contact with our outsourced AP function and deal with query resolution and checking of pay run data to ensure that the records are accurate and complete.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements and ledgers to find and fix errors.
Assist with the reconciliation of our marketplace providers.
Enter daily financial transactions, cash receipts and expense reports into the accounting system.
Submit daily banking information to the group treasury function.
Raising self-billed invoices to our dropship suppliers.
Preparation of the monthly fixed asset reconciliations and associated depreciation postings.
General support by assisting with month-end closing, prepare basic reports and raise issues with the management accountant

Skills:

A passion for numbers, accuracy and skills in calculating figures is vital, as is adeptness at paying attention to detail.
Willingness to learn.
Ability to be discreet when handling confidential information.
Competent in the use of MS office and a good working knowledge of excel.
Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions.
