Job Overview

Company Description Canter Holland Ltd is a privately owned firm that provides high-quality financial advice to private individuals and corporate clients.

We help client manage their finances and provide long term and sustainable solutions so that they can fulfil their objectives and help them achieve their financial aspirations. We work with both private and corporate clients and we build long term relationships that we expect to last for generations to come.

We are looking for somebody to join our team of Financial Advisers, working on a collaborative basis to manage our client relationships and work together as a team. We avoid a ‘silo’ approach where individual advisers do their own thing and effectively create companies within the company.

You will work with our advisers to be taught the job of delivering a first-class service to our clients. Our client meetings are carried out in person or via videoconference and will always be delivered by at least two advisers, one to conduct the meeting and one to take notes. After all client meetings there is a detailed debrief with the team to make sure that we are all in the picture and deliver the best possible service to our clients.

To make sure that all our advice and investment management is consistent we operate our own bespoke centralised investment proposition and all the research is centralised and conducted by our paraplanning team.

Our business is focussed on delivering the best possible service to our clients and we achieve this by investing heavily in our staff and their qualifications and by creating a modern and pleasant working environment. While we steadily continue to grow and take on all our new clients through word-of-mouth referrals, we are not ‘sales’ orientated leaving us to concentrate on the people that matter most……. our clients!

You will need….

Experience in a customer facing role
A genuine interest in financial matters and be able to demonstrate that interest
Be able to work as part of a team
Have good communication skills both orally and by being able to write accurate reports and emails
Have awesome attention to detail
Be able to demonstrate the ability to sit exams and achieve good marks
Have a full UK driving licence

What we want from you….

Total commitment and an ‘always on it’ attitude.
You will work Monday to Friday but some days will be longer than others and you therefore need to be flexible in your working hours. This is not a 9-5 job!
You will be based in our Peterborough Head Office but will travel to our London office as well as visit clients all over the country.
You will be expected to qualify as a regulated financial adviser within 2 years by completing the Chartered Insurance Institute Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning exams (RO1 to RO6). After that we expect you to continue your studies and become a Chartered Financial Adviser.
