Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Temporary Roof Tent Fitter & Sales Person to join our team. This role involves both hands-on installation of roof tents and engaging with customers to promote and sell our products. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop sales expertise whilst gaining practical experience in outdoor equipment fitting.

Duties

Install roof tents on various vehicle types, ensuring secure and accurate fitting according to manufacturer specifications.
Engage with potential and existing customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product advice.
Conduct product demonstrations and explain features effectively to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction.
Negotiate sales terms with customers, aiming to maximise mutual benefit while maintaining professional integrity.
Manage sales transactions accurately using IT systems, including processing payments and updating customer records.
Drive company vehicles to client locations or trade events as required, ensuring safe and timely arrival.
Maintain organised stock levels of tents and accessories, ensuring all items are stored securely and accessible for installation or sale.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing queries promptly and professionally, both in person and via phone or email.
Assist in the organisation of trade shows or promotional events when necessary.

Skills

Proven ability in negotiation and B2B sales, with a focus on outdoor equipment or related sectors preferred.
Strong driving skills with a valid licence; comfortable driving company vehicles over various routes.
Excellent communication skills in English, capable of explaining technical details clearly to diverse customers.
Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Good time management skills, ensuring punctuality for appointments and events.
Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, professional demeanour.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.

This role is ideal for someone eager to combine practical outdoor work with sales activities in a vibrant environment, offering valuable experience within the outdoor leisure industry.

Pay: £25,420.00-£71,093.21 per year
