Business Development Representative (BDR)

Location: Bridgend, South Wales (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: Up to £32,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission (OTE £40,000+)

We're looking for an enthusiastic, confident and driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys speaking with people, uncovering opportunities and opening doors. You won't be responsible for closing sales; instead, your focus will be on generating qualified meetings and building a strong pipeline of opportunities for our Business Development Managers to progress.

Whether you're already working in sales, recruitment, telesales, lead generation or account development, this role offers excellent earning potential and career progression within a growing business.

The Role

As a Business Development Representative, you'll be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers through proactive outbound activity.

You'll be making a high volume of business-to-business calls, researching organisations, gathering valuable sales intelligence and securing appointments with key decision-makers.

Success in this role comes from consistency, resilience and a genuine interest in helping businesses discover better ways to use technology.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new business opportunities through outbound telephone prospecting.
Conduct high-volume business-to-business calling activity.
Identify and engage decision-makers within target organisations.
Secure qualified appointments for the Business Development Manager & Head of Sales.
Research prospective customers and gather key business intelligence.
Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure excellent data quality.
Record key information including:
IT support providers
Contract renewal dates
Existing technology platforms
Cloud and Microsoft 365 usage
Cyber security requirements
Key business contacts
Build and nurture prospect relationships through email, telephone and LinkedIn engagement.
Work towards daily, weekly and monthly activity targets.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to maximise lead generation opportunities.

Desirable

Graduates looking to enter the IT & Cyber Security scene (Sales)
Experience in sales, telesales, lead generation or recruitment.
Experience using CRM systems.
Experience working within IT, telecommunications or technology sectors.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and business technology solutions.
