Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will support the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing accounts and financial data.

Magna Signs manufactures and installs signage across UK for an extensive catalogue of blue-chip customers, whom we are proud to work alongside.

Our company has seen considerable growth of late and it is crucial that our Accounts and Administration Team work alongside all the team at Magna to ensure the best possible service to our customers and stakeholders.

This position welcomes you to a small, friendly, and fast paced office where you will be responsible for some of the below tasks.

Responsibilities

Processing of sales and purchase ledger invoices, using our AutoEntry software, Clarity Software and Sage 50.
Processing of credit card for 12 users.
Keeping our card accounts up to date and monitoring spend such as Screwfix/Premier Inn
Daily banking and reconciliations including Euro account
Preparation and payment of BACS run monthly
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations
Be able to run a month end with assistance if required
Help manage vendor communications and respond to inquiries related to payments and account status
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of accounting processes through diligent data entry and process review
Answer the telephone and any ad-hoc administrative duties that may be required
Have strong excel skills
Flexible approach to work in order to meet deadlines

Experience

Proven experience with Sage 50 is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable procedures and financial data entry practices
Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Pay: £26,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
