Full job description

Residential Conveyancer – Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX Professional

Stratford Solicitors is looking for an experienced and approachable Residential Conveyancer to join our friendly team.

This is an office-based position offering a salary of between £40,000 and £50,000, depending on experience, plus a generous bonus scheme with OTE comfortably in excess of £60,000.

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX professional with at least five years’ post-qualification experience. You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, supported by a welcoming team that takes pride in delivering a personal and professional service.

What you’ll be doing:

Managing a varied caseload of freehold and leasehold residential transactions.
Handling sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer documents and title documentation.
Managing SDLT submissions, post-completion matters and Land Registry applications.
Keeping clients updated and providing clear, practical advice throughout their transaction.
Working closely with estate agents, lenders, brokers and other solicitors.
Identifying and resolving title issues.
Maintaining accurate files and ensuring matters progress efficiently.
Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.

What we’re looking for:

At least five years’ PQE as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or CILEX professional.
Experience managing residential conveyancing matters independently.
Good knowledge of both freehold and leasehold transactions.
A friendly and confident approach to client care.
Clear and professional communication skills.
Strong organisation and attention to detail.
The ability to manage deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
Confidence using legal case-management systems.

Basic salary of £40,000–£50,000, depending on experience.
