Full job description

Wood Street Bakery is a small, independent, and fast-growing bakery where there’s real opportunity to make your mark and grow with us as we continue to build something special.

As manager, you’ll lead the way forward to deliver exceptional experiences for both your team and your customers. You’ll take full ownership of daily operations, ensuring the bakery runs smoothly, profitably, and always with warmth and care. You’ll inspire your team to love what they do and take pride in every pastry and coffee served.

Either 4 - 5 days depending on preference worked between 7.30am-4.30pm

Lead by example, ensuring every guest receives a friendly, memorable experience.
Uphold all operational, safety, and brand standards—never walking past something that isn’t right.
Be the champion of product knowledge and presentation, ensuring everything served reflects Wood Street Bakery’s standards of excellence.

– Empowering Sales

Create a culture where selling feels natural—encouraging your team to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for our products.
Be an active presence in the local community, building connections and identifying opportunities to grow the bakery’s reach.
Drive sales with thoughtful initiatives and a genuine passion for hospitality.

– Driving Profit

Take full ownership of financial performance, managing stock, wastage, and labour to achieve efficiency and profitability.
Use smart scheduling and ordering to balance operational needs with cost control.
Keep a close eye on all controllable costs—from consumables to energy—ensuring every decision supports a sustainable, thriving business.
