Ready to be your own boss and take charge of a pub business you can really make your own?

We’re looking for an ambitious, driven and passionate Operator to take the reins at our brand new site The Aviator in Thornaby.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, understands what makes a great local pub and has the energy and commercial drive to build a successful business.

We’re looking for someone who:

Knows how to create a pub that becomes part of its local community
Is a natural host who enjoys getting to know customers
Leads from the front and builds a motivated, reliable team
Takes pride in delivering excellent standards and customer service
Is proactive with events, entertainment and driving footfall
Understands their local competition and is always looking for the next opportunity
Wants autonomy, accountability and the chance to grow their own earnings

Your Role

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of The Aviator, including:

Delivering fantastic customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Recruiting, managing and developing your own team
Managing cash and stock controls
Maintaining excellent standards throughout the pub
Ensuring licensing, health & safety and compliance requirements are met
Driving events, sport and entertainment
Building relationships within the local community
Growing sales and developing the pub’s customer base
