Overview

Williams Motor Group is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Mechanic to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled, experienced vehicle technician with strong diagnostic and repair capabilities, and proven work experience in the motor trade.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring excellent customer service and workshop efficiency.

Perform thorough vehicle diagnostics (including electrical systems) using diagnostic equipment.
Carry out repairs and maintenance on cars and light commercial vehicles.
Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Assemble new equipment or parts according to specifications
Perform heavy lifting as required for equipment repair or installation tasks
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used
Assist with equipment upgrades and modifications to improve performance
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with management regarding repairs and maintenance needs
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies

Experience

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role involving equipment repair and maintenance
Proficiency with diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical and electrical systems
Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems and machinery
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Excellent problem solving ability with strong attention to detail.
Experience performing maintenance on diverse types of machinery or vehicles is desirable
Good communication skills and a positive can do attitude.
Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in physically demanding environments.
Previous experience working in customer service is advantageous but not essential.
Full UK driving license (preferred)
