Overview
At RS Steelwork Ltd, we are specialists in high-quality architectural & structural steel fabrication, serving clients across Kent. With a reputation built on precision, reliability, and craftsmanship, we are expanding our operations and seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our dynamic team and drive workshop performance.

The Role:
As Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy steel fabrication workshop. You’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, team management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate workshop activities and personnel
Plan workloads and allocate resources to meet production deadlines
Ensure all fabrication work meets company and customer specifications
Maintain health and safety standards in compliance with regulations
Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers as needed
Monitor stock levels and ensure efficient use of materials
Maintain equipment and ensure the workshop is well-organized and tidy

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role within steel fabrication or manufacturing
Strong technical understanding of steelwork, welding, and fabrication processes
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Knowledge of health & safety practices and workshop procedures
A hands-on, solutions-focused approach

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
