Full job description

Join FDL Contractors

FDL Contractors is looking for an organised, proactive and experienced Office Administrator to join our team in Stafford.

Established in 2011, we are a growing construction contractor delivering projects across Staffordshire, the Midlands and Derbyshire.

This is a varied role with real responsibility. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day office administration, support our management team and help keep our company and project documentation organised and up to date.

If you’re the person who likes keeping everything organised, following things through and making sure nothing gets missed, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

· Managing the day-to-day administration of the office

· Providing administrative support to management and project teams

· Maintaining company and project records

· Supporting document control and compliance documentation

· Preparing letters, reports and other business documents

· Coordinating meetings, appointments and diaries

· Managing incoming calls, emails and visitors

· Liaising with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

· Following up outstanding information and documentation

· Maintaining accurate filing and internal systems

· Helping improve administrative processes as the business grows

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

· Organised, proactive and reliable

· Confident managing their own workload

· Excellent at attention to detail

· Comfortable taking ownership and using their initiative

· Professional when dealing with clients, colleagues and suppliers

· Confident using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel

· Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment

Previous administrative experience is preferred.

Experience within construction, contracting, engineering, housing or document control would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.

What We Offer

· £28,000–£32,000 per year, depending on experience

· Monday–Friday working

· 8:00am–4:30pm

· Permanent, full-time position
