Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations while ensuring the safe and timely transport of products. The role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting, making it essential for candidates to be physically fit and capable of managing warehouse tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and inventory counts.
Assist in warehouse operations when not on delivery duties, including stock management and organisation.
Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
Report any issues or incidents related to deliveries or vehicle performance promptly.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
A positive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
