Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking fish dishes to high standards, ensuring food safety and quality at all times. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts, with a focus on delivering delicious meals in a fast-paced environment. The Fish Fryer will contribute to creating a welcoming dining experience for our customers while maintaining efficient kitchen operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook fish dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist with meal preparation, including cleaning, portioning, and garnishing dishes
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation and cooking processes
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas throughout shifts
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety of the food served
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
Adhere to health and safety policies at all times, including proper handling of hot oil and sharp utensils

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and portion control
Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
Basic knowledge of culinary techniques related to frying fish and other seafood dishes
Previous experience in serving or working in a restaurant environment is desirable but not essential
