Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and hygienic environment for food preparation and service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food service, catering, or hotel environments. The role is suitable for those with a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Duties

Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff.
Support the organisation of storage areas, including stock rotation and inventory management.
Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and other kitchen areas throughout shifts.
Help with waste disposal and ensure recycling procedures are followed appropriately.
Support the overall organisation of the kitchen to facilitate efficient food service operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and hospitality services.
