Temporary Packer & General Factory Assistant (12-Week Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: South Darenth, Kent, DA4 9BD
Industry: Manufacturing
Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (12 Weeks)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (some flexibility may be required to meet operational needs)

Due to a period of increased demand, we are seeking motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our production team as Temporary Packers & General Factory Assistants on an 12 week fixed term contract.

The Role

This is a hands on role within a fast paced manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will be physically fit, and able to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy while working efficiently. Strong teamwork, a positive attitude, and a willingness to support colleagues are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Packing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch
Manual handling of finished goods and raw materials
Operating filling and batching equipment safely and efficiently
Applying product labels and batch numbers to bags, cartons, and finished goods
Lifting, stacking, and palletising materials and products
Carrying out in process quality checks and reporting any issues promptly
Completing production records, checklists, and associated documentation accurately
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within the production area
Ensuring workstations are cleaned down daily and waste bins are emptied as required
Following all company health, safety, and quality procedures
Undertaking any other reasonable duties required to support the business

Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Are reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in their work
Can work effectively as part of a team while taking responsibility for their own tasks
Are adaptable and willing to support different areas of production when required
Are physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
Can work efficiently in a busy manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards
