Full job description

Job Summary

EGYCO is looking for a proactive and client-focused Account Manager to manage a portfolio of business clients. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact, ensuring clients receive exceptional service while coordinating with our bookkeeping, payroll, accounts, tax, and advisory teams. The role requires excellent communication, organisational, and relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of SME clients across various industries.
Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
Serve as the main point of contact for client enquiries.
Coordinate with bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, accounts, and tax teams to ensure timely completion of work.
Monitor deadlines for VAT returns, payroll, annual accounts, Corporation Tax, Confirmation Statements, and Self-Assessment tax returns.
Conduct regular client review meetings to discuss business performance and compliance matters.
Identify opportunities to introduce additional services such as payroll, management accounts, tax planning, business advisory, and immigration support.
Prepare engagement letters, proposals, and fee quotations.
Ensure client records are maintained accurately within the CRM and practice management systems.
Resolve client issues promptly and professionally.
Support onboarding of new clients and coordinate accountant clearance processes.
Assist with debt collection and monitor outstanding client fees.
Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in an account management or client relationship role.
Experience within an accountancy practice is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
Good commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS, or similar is advantageous.

Qualifications

Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
AAT, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent qualification (or studying towards one) is advantageous but not essential.
