Full job description

Lithia UK – Remote with occasional travel to our Annesley Head Office and wider HR events (expected once per quarter)

We're looking for a Junior Employee Relations Advisor to join our Employee Relations team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in HR and employee relations, gaining hands-on experience while supporting managers and colleagues across our business.
Working alongside experienced Employee Relations Advisors, you'll provide first-line guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, helping ensure cases are managed fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation, company policies and best practice.

Your Journey as a Junior Employee Relations Advisor:
Provide first-line employee relations advice and guidance to managers and colleagues, supporting a fair, consistent and customer-focused approach.
Support Employee Relations Advisors with a variety of employee relations cases, ensuring they are progressed efficiently and in line with agreed service levels.
Prepare high-quality employee relations documentation, including invitation letters, outcome letters, meeting notes and other correspondence.
Maintain accurate records within our employee relations case management system (Zendesk), ensuring all information is up to date and confidential.
Monitor case progress, following up on actions and helping to ensure deadlines are met.
Build strong working relationships with managers and colleagues, providing professional and approachable support throughout the employee relations process.
Identify trends and share insights with the wider Employee Relations team to support continuous improvement and enhance the colleague experience.
Support the review and maintenance of policies, manager guidance, handbooks and templates to reflect changes in legislation, ways of working and best practice.
Keep up to date with employment law developments and HR best practice, continuously building your knowledge and expertise.
Contribute to wider People and Culture projects and initiatives as required, supporting the ongoing development of our people practices.
Are you looking to embrace the challenge? We're looking for someone who has:
A basic understanding of employment law and HR best practice, whether gained through work experience or study.
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Great attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop within a supportive team.
Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable but not required:
Previous experience within an HR, Employee Relations or administrative role.
Experience working in a fast-paced customer service or people-focused environment.
A CIPD qualification or you're currently working towards one
