Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Transport Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation fleet by managing and co-ordinating transport activities. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Plan, co-ordinate and oversee daily routes. Managing deliveries and collections to optimise efficiency.
Liase with the sales office to ensure smooth communication and customer satisfaction.
Ensure vehicles are roadworthy, properly maintained and compliant with legal requirements
Monitor vehicle inspections, MOTs, maintenance records, and defect reporting.
Investigate transport incidents, accidents, and complaints, implementing corrective actions where required.
Complete general administration duties as required.
Participate in out-of-hours call rota from drivers

Requirements

Strong organisational and planning skills.
Previous experience managing transport operations or vehicle fleets, advantageous
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Time management and attention to detail
Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements and transport compliance.
