We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The role:

Are you an organised and customer-focused individual looking to begin or develop a career within the NHS? NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an Admin Assistant to join our Community Administration Team within West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership. This important role provides vital administrative and reception support that helps ensure services run smoothly for patients, carers and healthcare professionals. Working across a range of community settings, you will be part of a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality services and excellent patient experiences. Band 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes.

The interviews for this position are scheduled to be held on the 20th of August.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

Part-time, Permanent
You will be based at Clydebank Health & Care Centre, but the post covers all sites
Working Pattern: Monday 08:30 - 13:30, Tuesday 08:30 - 13:00 and Friday 09:00 - 18:00

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

Key responsibilities:

Provide professional reception and administrative support to patients, visitors and healthcare colleagues
Manage appointments, patient records and data entry accurately using a range of electronic systems
Respond to telephone and face-to-face enquiries in a courteous, efficient and confidential manner
Maintain effective filing systems and support the management of clinical and administrative documentation
Process incoming and outgoing mail, correspondence and routine administrative tasks
Support service delivery by prioritising workload and providing cross-cover across service locations when required
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a high standard of customer service
Good written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships
Ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands and use initiative appropriately
Awareness of administrative processes and office systems within a busy working environment
Experience of using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge and understanding of working within a healthcare or public service environment would be advantageous but not essential
