JOB ROLE: Deputy Manager - Supported Accommodation

LOCATION: Darlington

SALARY: £15.45 - £16.05 * per hour + £62.64 per sleep-in.

Level 5 Qualified Salary: £15.95 – £16.55* per hour

HOURS: 40 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS: Full UK Driving License - essential.

About Us:

Keys Group are one of the largest providers of Adult and Residential Childcare in the UK, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager based in Darlington to oversee and develop our Supported Accommodation services.

As a Deputy Manager, you will manage a staff team that provide support to young people aged 16-21 years who are leaving care and living in the community within their own accommodation.

Duties will include:

Assist the Care Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment with strong leadership.
Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans tailored to individual needs.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures.
Support staff training programmes to maintain high standards of care and professional development.
Liaise effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
Assist with audits, documentation, and reporting required for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

Previous management or supervisory experience within a care setting is essential.
Knowledge of care planning processes and medication administration protocols.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation.
Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to enhancing residents’ quality of life.
Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent are desirable.
