Full job description

Job Overview

The Hopwells Group is looking for an IT Support Technician to be the main go to person for all matters IT across the Group. The Hopwells Group operates within Food Wholesale sector and the retail and commercial motor trades.

This role gives a great opportunity for someone with IT Support experience to take responsibility for all of the Group’s IT systems and put forward proposals for improving the groups IT solutions.

Duties

Providing IT support via phone, email and face to face;
Diagnose and resolve hardware problems including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals;
Set up and manage user accounts, permissions and passwords;
IT Setup for new starters;
Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi and wired connections;
Setup and deployment of new hardware and software for employees;
Set up and maintain telephone system and mobile phones;
Working with software suppliers to resolve technical issues;
Maintain accurate records of hardware and software.

Experience

You will need prior experience with:

Windows server
Active Directory
Microsoft 365
Windows Desktop Support
Hardware, Network and software troubleshooting

You should also have:

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Experience supporting users remotely or working with cloud-based collaboration tools
Knowledge of Merlin Business Software would be beneficial but not essential

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
