Around since 1923, SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity. Today, we operate over 70 services in communities across Scotland, providing mental health social care support, addictions and employment services, among others. Together with national programme work in respectme, suicide prevention, and physical activity and sport, these services inform SAMH’s policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

Post: Partnership Development Co-ordinator (SS)

Location: Brunswick House, Glasgow / hybrid; will work across varying environments in Scotland

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: £29,575 .00 (Point 25)

Contract: Fixed Term for 1 year

About the Role

The Partnership Development Coordinator will support the development and delivery of high quality programmes aimed at engaging individuals long-term physical activity, mental health and wellbeing behavioural change.

The Coordinator will deliver SAMH’s Behavioural Change Approach and support provision, building the capacity of participants to support their physical activity, mental health and wellbeing through behaviour change. Increasing the knowledge, engagement and resilience of participants, staff and local networks to establish a locally relevant and sustainable community provision. The Coordinator will play a key role in the delivery and development of SAMH’s partnership with Sport Scotland.

The Co-ordinator will also play a key role in the delivery and development of SAMH’s Physical Activity and Sport with other key partners, to support learning and development sessions, which aim to increase knowledge and awareness of mental health, to remove stigma and discrimination and support. This will also include Physical Activity & Sport communities, to provide understanding of the impact of physical activity and sport on our mental health and wellbeing.

The skills and experience to support groups of various ages, genders, and needs, including children and young people, to support engagement and participation, within Physical Activity & Sport settings.
